Mr. T. Alemba Yimchunger
This month, Eco Warriors Nagaland is proud to recognize Mr. T. Alemba Yimchunger, a lifelong guardian of the forests and wildlife of Fakim Wildlife Sanctuary. With more than three decades of dedicated service, his unwavering commitment to conservation has played a vital role in protecting one of Nagaland’s most important biodiversity landscapes.
From humble beginnings as a Camp Watcher to leading anti-poaching efforts as Commander of the Anti-Poaching Squad, Alemba's journey reflects resilience, passion, and a deep connection to nature. His contributions to wildlife protection, ecological monitoring, and community-based conservation continue to inspire both conservation professionals and local communities alike.
We are honored to celebrate Mr. T. Alemba Yimchunger as our Eco Warrior of the Month, recognizing his remarkable legacy of service and stewardship for the natural heritage of Nagaland.
